We are the YEAR 6 Team Captains.
We work hard as a team to support Mrs Mayman who is the PE Leader in school.
We were elected by the children in Year 6 to represent the colour teams across school in Reception to Year 6. We were chosen because we try to set a good example and act as good role models to the younger children in school.
Each pair of children represents one of the colour teams in school: RED, BLUE, YELLOW and GREEN. Our role in school is to work hard to encourage everyone to work together to collect team points. Team points can be earned for doing a variety of things such as: making progress in lessons, working extra hard, completing additional work at home or school, helping someone in the classroom or the playground and being helpful around school. Each week the team points are added up and the winning team is awarded the colour team trophy. We keep a record of how often the colour teams win the trophy and the winning colour team then receives a treat at the end of each term.
Mrs Mayman works with us to train us to become Sports Leaders. We run activities at playtime and lunchtime for the younger children, as these pictures show:
