SUMMER TERM ONE
HISTORY
We studied Harewood House and found out how it had changed over time.
We pretended to be tour guides and did some super writing about some of the 180 rooms.
We worked hard and applied our English skills to improve the quality of our independent writing.

SCIENCE
Our science lessons this half term have been all about Electricity.
We enjoyed exploring how to make the bulb dimmer or brighter and how to make the buzzer louder or quieter.

Design and Technology – MAKING BREAD
Children enjoyed learning how to make bread.
Everyone designed their own shape for the bread and what flavours they would be.
Our designs for bread flavours included herbs, onions, raisins, mixed fruit, cinnamon and cheese.
They all tasted delicious.

AUTUMN TERM TWO
As part of our Geography Topic the children produced some wonderful pictures of The Northern Lights.

AUTUMN TERM ONE
This half term we are going to be developing our History skills further through our topic on Invaders and Settlers.
To inspire the children and get them enthused in our topic we had a fun filled day doing baking, dyeing and making jewellery.
The children loved the cakes and were amazed at the brilliant colours we got from fruit and vegetables.
What a fantastic day it was!

In Science we are learning about Living things and their Habitats.
We explored our school environment to find different habitats and what lives in these habitats.

In ART the children enjoyed doing these wonderful pictures in the style of David Hockney.

Thank you for supporting the children with Autumn 1 topic homework.
They did an amazing job.

Our VIRTUAL Cross Country Event was fun, exciting and exhausting!
